O92. Vintage Alligator style (?) & Brassy Metal vintage Jewelry Box w/Red Velvet Lining … lovely. The detailed “Brass” (possibly) decor covers the entire two sides of the box. It does NOT attract our magnet at all. Esti 7.5” x 5.5”. The box is reddish mahogany color w/gilt framed outline decoration on top. Felt lined base/bottom. Closure a goldtone metal & a bit loose, but does work. There is a key option, but NO key. (Likely generic size.)Also, the closure pops open when you have it closed. It takes some playing to keep it closed. Figured it out by sliding the button gently back-&-forth, it will keep it shut, but does need to be adjusted somehow. If you’re OK with manipulating it & having patience, no worries.This needs a cleaning. There is a little pet hair inside, dust, spots. This came right from an estate sale, we did not do anything to it except wipe the dust off the top so we could take photos. See pix.Unsure of who the maker is. Unsure if the covering is leather, but unlikely. The top section, where the mirror is, is popping out just a bit. Top has a slight indentation. Scratches, marks, tarnish/patina on brass & other markings, please see pix to determine condition. As found, as is. Can’t guarantee age, origin or materials. Should shine up nicely!
